Here is a collection of various top-of-the-hour station IDs from South Dakota Public Broadcasting, mostly recorded during January and February 2024 via KESD-TV 8, brookings, with four of the SDPB Kids IDs being recorded in November 2020. Though these idents date from 2009 at the earliest, the Phoenix/Eagle logo and wordmark, along with the jingle, have been in use since March 2003.
First up are most, if not all, of the IDs SDPB cycled through, followed by those for their kids block. SDPB used to have unique IDs for their kids block, promoting SDPB's mascot "Buddy", but they switched over to national PBS Kids branding for their IDs in October 2023.
On March 1st, 2024, SDPB launched a complete brand refresh and most of these IDs are no longer in use. The 2003 logo, wordmark, and music have since been retired from active use, and now only appear in local programs produced before March 1st, 2024. Oddly enough, the updated fall 2023 PBS Kids IDs are largely the same, except the Phoenix/Eagle logo has been swapped out with the new SDPB wordmark from the rebrand.
