Now here is something I totally forgot I had. If you subscribed to Knology cable TV in eastern South Dakota and was under a weather warning, this is how it would appear. First is the channel break in instructing the viewer to tune to channel 21. Channel 21 was TV Guide Network, and they just put the warning details over the TVGN feed. No audio was present by the time I started recording this.
As for the tornado warning in question, it was only a test. In South Dakota, the state has an "Emergency Weather Preparedness WeeK" towards the end of April. The biggest event of that week is when the weather service issues test watches and warnings on Wednesday. Those are relayed over the TV, radio, and cable networks. It's designed to teach people about watches, warnings, and to practice emergency routines like going to a designated shelter and the like.
