Knuckles in Sonic 1 the Sonic Origins version.
Similar to Sonic CD, Knuckles can't use his Glide to the fullest due to height restrictions, but the surprising change with an extra route to Marble Zone 3 was nice.
HIs glide ability helps quite a bit with traversing some of the traps in Marble Zone, especially the Lava Pools which you can glide over. It helps with Labyrinth for gliding over the "secret" shortcut rather than having to press a button and go back up as you would wiht Sonic. Scrap Brain 1 for accessing the higher routes is easier too.
His jump height was noticeable for making Green Hill/Marble/Spring Yard bosses take a bit longer, but he made that Labyrinth boss a bit easier because of climbing (Tails will make it a breeze).
