Survival run of this horizontal shmup/hack'n slash developed by Psikyo
and released in 1997 on arcade and later on various consoles and pc.
A pretty unique take on shmups, this game try to mix two very different genre
and it succeed to some degree, the fantasy setting and the addition of RPG elements
help to digest a gameplay that appears complex at first glance.
Game is hard on first loop (story mode) and brutal on special round (loop 2),
strats are needed for every stage and magic must be used wisely,
enemies can kill you quickly, especially with consecutive hits that deal more damage,
also they work as a team using melee, long range and surprise attack,
luckily game is short (8 min per loop) so there is not too much to memorize.
There is also a hidden score system that apply a 4x multiplier by killing an enemy
with the fourth hit of melee combo,
anyway final score is revealed only at the end of the run.
I did this run on Wolfmame 0.264 with 30Hz autofire

Scoring run of this horizontal shmup developed by Konami
and released in 1991.
Visually gorgeous, accompanied by a very good ost
and inspired by game like Gradius and R-type this shmup
passed under the radar in the early 90, mostly because of the
success of street fighters 2 in those years.
Gameplay might seem similar to R-type but only superficially,
the tentacle mechanic and the charged shot only available
when the flint (force) is locked make for a unique and more tactical playstyle.
In this run i used a score bug to achive more then 10M pts by triggering
a specific event for every life i had in stock.
Also i got 4 secret 1up in stage 1 and 3 (2 x loop),
guaranteed if specific action are performed (just do what i do in the video).
Even if this is a scoring run i didnt get a really good score because i
failed one of the score bug chance, a normal good run should be
around 12M+ or more if extra life show up,
anyway this is my best 2All for now while my best score is 13.6M (stage2-2),
will upload more when i get better game clear.
I played on Wolfmame 0.225 and i used 2 autofire
at 20Hz and 30Hz.
The 20Hz was necessary because when game slowdown
30Hz stop working correctly , too many input i think,
this problem seems corrected in Arcade Archives, but i havent checked yet.
