Casual 1CC of this side-scrolling action game developed by Irem
in 1988 on M72 hardware.
Known for its difficulty, fine graphic and fast gameplay this game
was a success in late '80.
You take control of a ninja equiped with four different weapons
that can be upgraded and that can be switched at any time with
a dedicated button, also you can get up to two shadows
that shoot and mimic ninja movements for more fire power
and a more tactical approach.
Gameplay is fast and fun but there are some random elements that can
lead to some frustration like in stage 6 where tanky enemies appear
while you are landing and are basically unavoidable,
main reason of the high difficulty imho, anyway still a really good game.
Difficulty can be mitigated by getting only one shadow, big enemies
will get only half of the usual health.
A clarification: the tactic i used on final boss is NOT guaranteed,
success depend on how green lighting spawn, if their trajectory is low
they will most likely hit the ground otherwise they get you thanks to
a good homing ability.
I played on Wolfmame 0.249 w/o autofire.
