What does God think about race, racism, Critical Race Theory, and social justice?
When we study these subjects, we find that CRT is incompatible with the gospel. The goal of CRT is bringing about a utopia through equity in redistribution of wealth and status. However, the goal of the gospel is to change the heart of man.
We have to define our terms. Unfortunately, the term "social justice" has been redefined.
We also have to understand the terms "equality" and "equity." Equality is equal opportunity, while equity is equal outcomes. There is a big difference between the two.
The Bible is very clear--we are all related, so there are actually no "races." We should never hate someone simply because of who they are.
This is from the Wednesday evening Bible study at Eastlake Baptist Church. We are looking at "Social Justice and the Church."
