Where's that Forneus?
Rules:
- This is a low level run of zombero's hardtype mod: romhacking.net/hacks/3299
- The aim is to keep XP gain as low as possible without affecting my sanity.
- Hard mode, obviously
- No stat boosting items
- All other game mechanics are fair game!
Hardtype changes:
- HP: 500 → 850
- Icy Death removed and repurposed (it was only a Mabufu reskin anyways)
Just to clarify, this is probably technically possible at level 3, but unlikely given that Pixie is OHKO'd by all his single target attacks. Moreover you need to level her immediately after the fight anyway, and Shikigami/Preta need to be present here for the XP (this is essential to prep for Matador) so all things considered it just isn't viable.
I did fish for bonus vit/mag rolls, one in the tutorial and one whilst levelling in the hospital. It's important to have 6 base magic for Specter, then everything else goes into vit for Demi's HP.
The fight itself is pretty simple - start with a couple of Sukukajas, spam Zio and Lunge, and keep everyone's HP topped off with Medicines (Dia is too feeble.) You get to see the new shock mechanics here, it now only lasts 1 turn but works against all enemies which is a big improvement IMO.
