Lowdown on the restrictions of this challenge:
Ability Nodes Only (ANO) - You can only activate ability nodes, no raising characters' stats in anyway.
Own Sphere Grid (OSG) - Each character may not leave their own section of the sphere grid. Note that these rules combined mean you can still use key spheres to e.g. teach Lulu Doublecast, Yuna Auto-Life etc.
No Summons (NS) - Self-explanatory, Aeons are OP meatshields
No Overdrives (NO) - Mainly for getting rid of Rikku's Mix, which is ludicrously OP
No Items (NI) - No using items, in or out of battle. Chakra Drops, Revival Beads, Megido Rocks, all those classic FF staples are banned (you can still customize equipment though)
Initial equipment:
Tidus: (First Strike) + (MP Stroll)
Wakka: (Stonetouch, Stonestrike, First Strike) + (HP +10%, SOS Regen)
Rikku: (Gillionaire, First Strike, Stonetouch, Stonestrike) + (Master Thief)
Glitchless edition. This is a funny battle - although you have no real way of directly damaging him due to his huge defence and only Tidus/Wakka/Rikku being available, you can exploit the hell out of his gimmick. Every 2-3 turns he'll swallow a character and absorb their status - both positive and negative. Have one character inflict poison and zombie on themselves right away (I chose Wakka since he almost never misses himself) while the others kill themselves ASAP. SOS Regen will activate right before he swallows you and he will copy Poison/Zombie/Regen status. From here just defend every turn and he'll die very quickly. Evade & Counter will protect you from Geo's physical attacks. Do not struggle while inside him, as he'll use a different regurgitate that kills you.
Similarly, depending on when he swallows the second time there's a chance he'll die with Wakka inside him and if this happens he'll regurgitate for 9999 damage. Plus there also seems to be a possibility he'll glitch out when you win via poison damage. Still, there are much longer fights with much worse odds coming up...
