How not to rotate the head when changing its position on the column …

The Proxxon BFB 2000 mill/drill unit’s head can rotate freely around the column. While handy in a few situations, most of the time it’s an annoyance: Changing the height of the head likely changes its position over your workpiece.
So we will scribe a long line into the side of the column (while it’s attached to the unit) and a small corresponding line into the head. Aligning these lines will allow us to keep the orientation of the head when changing its position on the column.
