I first want to thank everyone at the Mario Superstar Baseball Club for the event coordination and software backend support for making the SLICE and SLICE Open tournaments possible - and to Gotta Gacha Arcade for the excellent venue. It was an honor to be chosen as the hosting channel for the bulk of SLICE Open gameplay.
Logistics were tricky with dozens of people playing hundreds of baseball and golf games in such a short time.
The Winners Round 1 games were played on the side early to kickstart the tournament in the hopes of minimizing scheduling conflicts with baseball matchups. With the uneven bracket, 3 higher-ranking players got byes into Round 2, including myself.
This match has melthrax and Nick competing at Peach's Castle Grounds - both Waluigi. What a surprise lol. They play very tight against each other until mel had an upsetting choke in Sudden Death. I'm not entirely sure what happened, but mel would later drop out and DQ, giving BMills the bye into Loser's Round 4.
