I first want to thank everyone at the Mario Superstar Baseball Club for the event coordination and software backend support for making the SLICE and SLICE Open tournaments possible - and to Gotta Gacha Arcade for the excellent venue. It was an honor to be chosen as the hosting channel for the bulk of SLICE Open gameplay.
Logistics were tricky with dozens of people playing hundreds of baseball and golf games in such a short time.
The Winners Round 1 games were played on the side early to kickstart the tournament in the hopes of minimizing scheduling conflicts with baseball matchups. With the uneven bracket, 3 higher-ranking players got byes into Round 2, including myself.
This match sees Nick and elijah as the only two remaining undefeated players at Blooper Bay. Perhaps inspired by my match that just transpired, Nick and elijah use Boo and Waluigi respectively. Nick slowly ebbs his round away, giving Elijah the top position for Grand Finals, while sending Nick down to face the last one left in Losers.
