This is "Slap Fight" for the Amstrad CPC released back in 1987 by Imagine Software.
Although the play area is small it still has beautiful 16 color graphics, smooth vertical scrolling and responsive controls.
The little tune at the title screen is very good.
Sadly the game is short and it ends very suddenly.
Thank you for watching and feel free to rate an comment.

Year of release: 1990
Publisher: Virgin Games
Developer: Big Red Software (Fred Williams [code], Steve Barrett [music], Richard Aplin [music], The Picture Element [graphics])
There is a 128K and a 64K version for this game.
Unfortunately the disk image for the 128K version is incomplete.
The side B is missing and so you can play only half of the game.
The 64K version includes the whole games but leaves out the animated loading screen, the mid-level briefing screens, the in-game music and the animated game over screen.
New York Warriors is a well presented game (as far as it concerns the 128K version) but the gameplay suffers.
The window of the game is very small giving the player a small margin to react in enemy attacks.
The collision detection is also quite unfair and works in a strange way.
It seems that the bottom half of your sprite is more vulnerable to bullets than the upper half.
The graphics are ugly.
Just like in Double Dragon, Virgin tried to convert and implement the graphics from the 16-bit versions of the game, but with far less success.
Everything in the game looks colorful but the visuals look like they have been chewed and then spat out by some obscure graphical conversion program!
Despite its flaws the game has some good features.
The background graphics are animated (for both 64K and 128K versions) while there is in-game music with sound effects (only for 128K version).
The scrolling and the controls are just OK.
Overall NYW is good game but with little re-play value.
For my longplay i have used the 64K version as the 128K one is incomplete.
You still can see some footage from the 128K version at the end of the video.
