BREAKING: Barrister Simeon Burke makes final appeal outside the Bar of Ireland
He faces imminent exclusion from practising law in the Irish courts due to his religious beliefs.
The deadline for securing a Master is 5pm today.
In spite of almost two years of searching, Simeon Burke still has no Master confirmed.
Over the past 5 years Simeon has interned with a barrister on the Western Circuit and worked as a judicial intern with the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court and as a Policy Intern for a disability rights organisation as an Iveagh Fellow. He has worked locally part time in the same job for almost six years to finance his studies.
Simeon has always had an excellent working relationship with his employers and work colleagues.
He would be grateful if you would contact the Bar Council of Ireland and raise with them the very serious issue of his exclusion.
