Mexico City was not what we expected! It was so much more!
Many people told us to avoid Mexico because of what they've heard on the media...that Mexico is dangerous, and that the cartels will kidnap you.
But we spent one week in Mexico City (CDMX) and we were impressed by all of the tourist sites, as well as the local culture that is on display seeminly everywhere. We went to must-see attractions (Teotihuacan & Basilica of Our Lady of Guadelupe), as well as just wandering around the Zocalo Historic Centre, learning a lot about Mexican history-- including Aztec, Mayan and other civilizations. Not to forget trying some delicious Mexican food!
There is a lot to do (and eat!) in Mexico City, and so this video can function as a 1 week itinerary. If you're looking for things to do in Mexico city, look no further!
