The mechanism for a Shibasaki Cyclization in which a cyclized amide is produced from a ketone starting material. A bromine is necessary in the starting material as well in order to have insertion by the palladium catalyst followed by coordination and subsequent insertion by the CO. A titanium catalyst is then introduced in order to supply the nitrogen necessary for the final amide formation.
