Vice President Kashim Shettima has returned to Abuja after representing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the 21st Extraordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the African Union in Luanda, Angola.

Before departing Luanda, the Vice President restated Nigeria’s strong opposition to xenophobic and Afrophobic attacks against Nigerians and other African nationals in South Africa.

Shettima said Nigeria remains committed to dialogue and peaceful engagement but will continue to speak firmly whenever the dignity, safety and welfare of Nigerians are threatened.
