On our first adventure in South Florida, we go on a journey to see just how many snakes we can find! Join Cajun Boy (Zachary Gray) as we get up close with some of South Florida's more common snake species as we start our brand new adventure!
South Florida is home to dozens of snake species, many of which can only be found in the state. While most of the common species can be found throughout the southern United States, there tends to be an extremely large number of snakes active during the summer months at night. Many water snake species and rat snake species can be commonly seen crossing roads, and Florida's venomous snakes can be commonly seen moving during the evenings and early night, such as cottonmouths and rattlesnakes. While this first night was pretty good, it just barely scratches the surface of south Florida wildlife yet to come!
