On today's adventure into the pine forests of south Louisiana, we're gonna be searching for the worlds smallest rattlesnake, and Louisiana's rarest pit viper...... during a forest fire?..... Yup, today, we're heading through the fire and the flames of a controlled pine forest burn in search of wildlife! Along the way, we'll show you just why controlled burns are necessary and good for pine savannah ecosystems, and how the reptiles and other smaller animals respond and survive to the fires!
