On today's video, we're on the search for the glossy crawfish snake, but not just ANY glossy crawfish snake, we're looking for a color morph that makes these snakes SOLID BLACK! Today we looking for a melanistic snake! As always we hope y'all enjoy this video! :D
Glossy crawfish snakes (regina rigida rigida) are an aquatic species of snake found throughout the southeastern United States. While normally having a dark brown top with an orange or bronze colored belly with lines down it, there are a few known populations of melanistic glossy crawfish snakes, which are a pitch black coloration. While there is much research still to be done of these oddly colored snakes, we know for certain these are glossy crawfish snakes, just with a different color (shiny crawfish snakes if you will.... :P)
