On today's INCREDIBLE adventure into the longleaf pine forests of south Mississippi, we find some of the rarest snakes the state has to offer! While searching for our main target: the eastern diamondback rattlesnake, however things take a turn towards the end of our adventure, as I mess up BIGTIME... As always we hope y'all enjoy this video :D
The Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnake (Crotalus adamanteus) is the worlds largest rattlesnake species, with record lengths reaching incredibly close to 8ft. These snakes can be found throughout their range in the southeastern United States, however in the state of Mississippi, this snake has become increasingly rare due to so many being killed on sight. These snakes posses large amounts of nasty venom, and are easily capable of delivering a lethal bite. While these snakes are not aggressive, and will actively avoid humans, their attitude, athletic ability, and strike range is a cut above most other rattlesnake species, so if you ever encounter one of these monstrous snakes, keep a safe distance and enjoy seeing a snake that is becoming increasingly harder to see in the south
