We were in the Netherlands for their extra day parkrun and headed to the gorgeous city of Haarlem to run Schoterbos parkrun. The team at this parkrun were absolutely fantastic and for a relatively small park there is an awful lot to see and do! The icing on the cake might just be that there is a hostel in the park itself so you can literally have parkrun on your doorstep!
Poppy loved the playgrounds, the chalk drawings on the floor and the outdoor gym. Our run director John was fantastic and went above and beyond to make us tourists feel welcome. There were several run directors from other parkruns in Holland there to run too which was really lovely. All in all a brilliant parkrunday!
