I wouldn't have believed I could make it to Day 5 when I was sitting in the emergency dentist the day before these races started but here I am! I made it to Day 5! As this race was on a bank holiday (Good Friday) then it was always going to be the busiest of the week. To add to the celebratory atmosphere then the local legend that is Hilary Wharam was completing her 200th marathon, aged 82, which is an unbelievable accomplishment!
Despite the pain and tiredness I was really looking forward to this day. I knew that it would be easier to get my head in the game on the final day… I just had to make it that far! Once I had made it to Day 5 then this marathon felt like the victory lap.
In the moments I struggled then I looked at the wonderful messages on my fundraising page. Huge thanks to everyone who sponsored me and helped give me my 'why'. If you would like to sponsor me then my fundraising page can be found here:

I can't thank the team at IGUN for putting on these incredible events and enabling us to achieve such crazy things. They must have been exhausted by the end of the week! Thanks also to everyone who supported me in some way, and to everyone I shared the trails with. Thank you for making my week what it was.

Happy running,
