I'm not sure how I've not been to Lyme Park before?! This parkrun has been around for almost a decade and it is stunning! The parkrun partnership with the National Trust means we get to parkrun in some of the most spectacular places in the country and I am so grateful.

Lyme Park is 100% trail, very muddy at this time of year, and is far from flat... but you mustn't let you the hills and mud keep you away! Make no mistake, this is a parkrun gem! I absolutely love trail running and the variation in course here is gorgeous. The wildness up on the moor, and the views down into Manchester and out across the Peak District National Park are breathtakingly beautiful and The Cage is such an impressive building. This is a parkrun you won't forget.

After parkrun a visit to the house and gardens is highly recommended. You can step right into Pride and Prejudice, and the formal gardens and Orangery are not to be missed!

I can't recommend a visit to Lyme Park parkrun enough, it has to be seen to be believed.
