We set off to Phoenix parkrun's 8th birthday but the continuation 2025 having terrible weather on a weekend continued with a named storm on Friday and ice on Saturday morning!
Luckily we had time to dash over to Sale Water parkrun despite their Facebook page being taken down so we weren't 100% sure the event was on! It was a risk worth taking as Sale Water parkrun is spectacular! Taking in beautiful Sale Water Park itself as well as running along the banks of the River Mersey.
The team here were wonderful too and the café had a real community feel and we ended up speaking to locals long after all other parkrunners had gone home... Oh and they do a chip butty! For me that's the test of a good café!
Well worth a visit, particularly on a beautiful sunny morning like the one we were lucky enough to get. It was spectacular! Huge thanks to all the volunteers who made it happen!
