We decided to stop off to parkrun in Brighton, on the way to Norwich (it’s on the way… honestly!) to celebrate our lovely friend’s 250th parkrun. Lucy Anderson is one of the nicest people I know… a paramedic, a parkrun ambassador, and an all round wonderful person so we headed down to celebrate her milestone parkrun with her.
I’m so happy we did as we had an awesome morning at Preston Park parkrun with so many brilliant members of our parkrun family. The cake Jackie made was one of the most stunning 250 cakes I’ve seen and it was delicious too! Plus we got to see the sea so it was a fantastic visit indeed. I’d take our bikes if we visited again though as the velodrome was definitely calling my name!
I feel really blessed to know so many wonderful people, none of whom I’d have met without parkrun. It just goes to show the power of a simple, weekly, 5km!
Happy running,
Nicola :)
