About this ship -
The Ragnarok II is one of three ships that represent the R90 from R-Type III: The Third Lightning.
Pros
- the red weapon is a straight on arrow that's good for direct attacks.
- the blue weapon is S Tier stuff, firing in five directions and dealing splash damage when the lasers hit something.
- the Cyclone Force can be recalled and sent out without having to attach to your ship, giving you a degree of control over its movement. It's fairly large too, and can be used as a shield against bullets.
- the Giga Wave Cannon is super powerful and will destroy anything in one shot if charged to two or three loops. And it charges to seven loops!!
Cons
- the yellow weapon is fairly difficult to use effectively.
About this stage -
The Bydo Forest from the end of R-Type Delta. If you know why you're here, you know. You reach this stage by playing stage 3.0 with Cross the Rubicon. The music is a beat for beat version of the R13's ending track from R-Type Delta.
Personal notes -
I wanted to use the Ragnarok II against the stage 4.0 boss, Dobkeratops, but after the initial phase, even though its bullets are attracted to your Force, a lot of times they would still hit me after I positioned myself, so I went with 3.5 instead. Stage 4.0 doesn't give you Bits to protect the ship and it was a huge waste of time trying so much only to fail.
