This video is part of a larger set that encompasses the Ship Showcase playlist. This is the forty seventh video that I recorded.
The Lady Love is an R9 style ship with upgraded versions of the standard weapons. The red weapon shoots straight ahead in a helix pattern. The blue weapon is the classic reflective laser. The yellow weapon is the counter ground laser, and gets a lot of use in this stage. Missiles are standard Homing Missiles, good for all encounters. The Bits are Round Bits, another classic, and will fire with the red weapon equipped. The Standard Force DX fires a spray of bullets when detached, giving you a lot of extra firepower. The Wave Cannon is a standard three loop charge shot. This ship required a password to unlock, and it was loveandpeace.
This stage is an homage to R-Type's stage 1. It's a space base with Dobkeratops at the end, and the base itself has been overgrown with foliage and vegetation, which is lethal to your ship. The music is the classic R9 to the Front track. The achievement I got at the end of the stage was from blowing up all of the pods on the Dobkeratops - that surprised me when it popped up, but I'm glad it happened while I was recording. Since this is a call back to R-Type, I had to use an R9 style ship, and Lady Love was the only one that I had left that fit what I was going for.
