This video is going into the Ship Showcase Playlist even though I've used the Ragnarok II before in RTF2 stage 5.0 and in my No Miss playthrough on R-Typer3 in stage 7.2. The reason why is because I'm practicing the stages from RTF3 for a future No Miss playthrough on R-Typer3.

The Ragnarok II is a spectacular ship with a devastating Wave Cannon. The red weapon fires an arrow straight ahead. The blue weapon is outstanding and fires the Splash Laser is five different directions from the Force and gives excellent coverage. The yellow weapon adds sniping turrets in the air when it fires, and is not very good, so I tend to avoid it. The Wave Cannon charges up to seven loops and will one hit kill anything that you blast it with, provided you can stay alive long enough to max it out without shooting. The Cyclone Force expands while detached, making it like a floating shield, giving great coverage. You can also hit the detach/attach button freely to keep sending it back and forth without attaching it to the ship, giving you a level of control over it. I was using Shadow Bits, because I tend to stick with the blue weapon, and I like having the defensive trails that come out with movement. Missiles are standard Homing, good for all occasions.
This is another beautiful planetside stage, something that R-Type Final 2 was sorely lacking. I'll be honest - I used the Ragnarok II here because I couldn't beat the boss. I was originally practicing this stage with the No Chaser, but the boss would always kill me. I made it easier on myself because of that. The Big Mom is what the Bydo Lab calls this boss, and it's a caterpillar that fires a pair of electric beams from segments of its body, also shooting out unblockable green bullets at times.
I love the graphics in this stage - RTF3 is a beautiful game. The music is awesome too.
