Romans 8 says ALL creation groans. Not just humans. All of it. And the word Paul uses next changes everything.
He writes that the entire created order groans together as in the pains of childbirth, awaiting its liberation at the revealing of the sons of God.
Pay attention to that metaphor. He doesn't say creation is dying. He says it's in labor. Birth pains are painful, but they lead somewhere. They have a destination. Something is about to be born.
And Paul doesn't limit this to humanity. He says ALL creation. The Greek is pasa he ktisis — the whole created order. Animals. Ecosystems. The earth itself. Everything that exists is groaning toward a future that God has already promised.
So when someone asks you "will animals be in eternity?" — Paul already answered that question two thousand years ago. If ALL creation groans and ALL creation awaits liberation, then ALL creation is included in God's redemptive plan.
