What's up Geekly Goods fam! 🥹 GAMBIT IS BACK?! After Apocalypse took over his mind and turned him into the Horseman of Death, Rogue finally pulled her sugah out of that manipulation in the latest episode of X-Men '97, and it was such a lovely, emotional moment.
During a psychic confrontation on the astral plane, Professor X went head to head with what remained of Remy's fractured mind, nearly losing the fight himself as Apocalypse tried to take him too. That's when Rogue stepped in, reaching for Gambit the way she always has, and together they pulled him back from the void. Remy's physical form is back among his allies now, though his vitals are still described as dangerously faint, so it's not entirely clear yet whether he's fully free from Apocalypse's influence or still hanging in a fragile balance.
Either way, this was such a beautiful payoff to everything Rogue and Gambit's relationship has built across both this series and the original show. Hopefully Remy is either truly back, or at the very least resting peacefully after everything he's been through.
