A rare Rock Wren from barren rocky habitats in western North America overwintered in a barn on a farm near Glen Robertson, Ontario. It was able to exit and enter the barn through a small door, but preferred to stay inside most of the time. The wren would not have survived outside in Eastern Ontario winter temperatures. It fed on spiders and learned to take live mealworms from the hand. Sadly, one of the barn cats caught it. Many thanks to Carmelle and William for allowing visitors arranged by Jeff Skevington.
