One male White-winged Crossbill fed on seeds inside last year's cones on White Spruce. We watched it pick up and hold cones with its foot and extract the seeds with its crossed bill. After eating seeds for 50 minutes, it flew down and ate snow to help its digestion. Ashbridges Bay Park in Toronto on 2 December 2020.
