In this review, we examine a super ideal cut diamond with D color and VVS1 clarity. This diamond is a TrueHearts selection which is part of James Allen’s signature diamonds. It has an AGS grading report and has ideal light performance (000).
The video showcases the diamond’s performance and how you can expect it look like in real life under various types of environments.
In the first type of lighting, the diamond flares in life under strong spotlight. These are lights typically found in kitchens, shopping malls and indoor lighting. Light from external sources hit the diamond’s facets and get dispersed into rainbow colors of light. It’s an absolutely joy to watch in real life.
In other outdoor environments, the diamond faces up extremely white because of its inherent body color (D) and also the white light return exhibited by the diamond.
There’s something I want to highlight here as well. As you can tell, the color rating is a D which is the best grade possible and the clarity rating is a VVS1 which is also a top tier grade. However, the sparkle and brilliance of the diamond you see in the video has nothing much to do with color or clarity.
The spectacular fireworks display is a result of precision cutting and light physics. The overall cost of the ring is approximately $5,000 ($4,900 to be exact). This diamond ring is slightly more expensive because of the high color/clarity ratings.
