Time for the next instalment of The Airbrush Show by Scale War Machines. We’re still focussing on useful airbrushing accessories but in this film, we’re looking at a classic air source from 2006. It’s our trusty semi-silent fridge-style Revell Omega Compressor.
This has given sterling service since we bought it 12 years ago and rather shamefully we never pampered it and never did any substantial maintenance in over a decade! Don’t be like us! If you have one of these, or a similar unit, do these simple maintenance steps every so often to keep your machine in tip-top condition (or don’t bother and as you’ll see it will still be fine!).
We decided to pass it to a friend and we thought it wise to do a service first. We were curious about what was lurking inside. Watch this film to find out.

The working pressure runs from 0 psi to 88 psi or 0 - 6 bar

Safety/bleed valve (constant motor)
1/4” BSP fittings
The air flow is 17 lpm or 0.53 cfm at open flow
Moisture trap and air regulator
20-50db with an average of 31db (stated noise level 35db)
