This video takes a look at the Hanboost C1 Cordless Cutter for DIYers and modellers like us.
It uses ultra sonic vibrations to oscillate a blade at 40KHz frequency. This aids in cutting using the scalpel blades supplied in the set. You also get a carry case, spare blades and hex nuts for the collar, an allen key, usb charging cable and quick start manual. This is useful for cutting parts from sprues and 3D printed meshes/frameworks/bases - as well as plenty of other tasks. It is good for people who are maybe suffering with mobility issues or where speed is important. It weights 205 grams and despite being about the size of a flashlight, is quite easy to handle and use.
In this review, I compare the C1 to a corded desktop Micro Sonic Cutter from Proxxon. Which is better for modellers and why? Stay tuned to find out.
Full disclosure: I was approached by Hanboost to review this product completely impartially and they supplied a sample of what appears to be a slightly updated version of the C1, compared to their website. Thanks to Hanboost for the sample.
Please note: their website is currently showing what I believe is the previous model C1 and is marked as retailing at £137GBP and is showing out of stock. Other sites have it showing at various different prices. I will post any updates when I have them below:

If you are all interested in a voucher code, I will happily ask Hanboost to provide one. Let me know in the comments. I will contact Hanboost for further clarification on versions, features and pricing. Any updates will be pinned in the comments too.
Enjoy!
