As a child, Christina's dad used to bring her and her sisters to Rock City Park near Minneapolis, KS. Last year, for her birthday, we revisited her childhood memory and started a tradition of our own. Now, on the eve of her birthday, we make our return to Rock City Park!
The boulders at Rock City Park are sandstone concretions formed by the erosion of the vast inland sea that once covered Kansas and much of the Midwest. There are around 200 concretions above ground and it is estimated that many more lay underground waiting to be exposed. Rock City is a Registered Natural Landmark.
