The bald eagles keep calling us back to The Riverwalk Trail that runs from Junction City to Milford Lake, KS. The trail follows the path of the Republican River and is a popular gathering area for eagles. On this hike, it was a very windy day and our feathered friends were loving it! It was a pure joy to watch the eagles playing in the wind. As we proceeded down the trail they would zip past us as fast as the breeze would take them. We are no strangers to windy day hikes in Kansas, but this one was special. Watching flying eagles is one of the joys of hiking along Kansas rivers in the winter time. Share in our awe and amazement as we watch eagle after eagle zoom past us on the Riverwalk!
