Three easy pumps creates a fun BB gun with power and accuracy up to 15 yards. 1000 BB Ammo Dump onboard! 3 pumps generates around 400 fps, and this can shoot through 2 pop cans filled w water at 13 yards, my favorite testing range.

3 pumps makes this a viable hunting gun. The accuracy is not as good as the right pellet. However, the WRONG pellet, will not be better than Black Widows. Black Widows deliver premium performance and stand out from Copperhead or even standard Daisy BBs.

THIS IS BB LORD!

The 1100 tests with Black Widows were impressive! At 13-15 yards the accuracy was solid can accuracy. Hitting pop can bottom at 13 yards was reliable. The power was good enough, that lasering through, it didn't always knock down a standing can. Daisy single pumps are more accurate, but 1100 is a good combo of accuracy and HUNTING POWER.

With more power, 5 pumps worked great as I closed to 9 yards and leaned on object as a monopod. I shot through a standard chilli consistently. Thicker cans could not stand up to Black Widows - one side ALWAYS, some times both sides. 5 pumps with Widow BBs nearly as powerful as 880 on 6 w pellet. Great 1100 action!

HUNTING

If you can close to around 9 yards, shooting Black Widows, a squirrel would not stand a chance. I say to close in - using 5 pumps - because the accuracy is given up for more power. That is the nature of multi-pump BB guns. Birds aren't as tough, so 3 pumps works. Even a medium-sized bird up to 15 yards will get taken down by Widow BB on 3 pumps.

The 1100 floods me with memories of old 1980s smoothbore 10 pump American Classic. I liked 4 pumps with Copperheads. I got good a closing the range and missed very little. The 1100 with Black Widows is large leap forward.

As far as full power for BBs, twelve pumps, the whole world will know you are shooting - high noise level. Also, it is only accurate for killing large coffee cans. Too loud and inaccurate.

But the Crosman engineers designing the 1100 were smart because young shooters do have the power INCLUDED to kill cans...for fun. The old Crosman single pumps restricted power, and simply could not GRATIFY young shooters who wanted more power options.
