1077 HUNTING SCENERIO
There is one intriguing setup for hunting with this CO2 rifle. Dumpsters overflowing with food scraps attract a rat swarm. Rats piling up behind a store are a great 1077 hunt.
A shooter closes to about ten yards and opens fire on a living fur ball. It sounds plausible. The first 12 shots have the power. The first 6 shots can punch through both sides of a soup can with a pointed pellet.
My major skepticism is that those first 12 shots are loud. How many pellets could you fire before they scattered?
A more plausible dumpster scene (that has been documented) is rat hunters using small break barrels. They are fast to load, quiet, and shoot with consistent power.
My final comment on rats is that my neighborhood focuses on ferrel rabbits and house peckers. Sometimes times starlings, too. I'm grateful I don't live near a rat dumpster infestation.
