We continue to archive the Ratchet & Clank series and today we take a look at the first title that released on the PlayStation 3. The first thing that obviously stands out are the beautiful graphics as both Ratchet and Clank look better and more detailed than ever. But also the scale of the levels has been improved as you now have sprawling cities, tundras and jungles to explore. The first half hour or so is incredibly epic as you make your way through a city that is under attack from an alien invasion.
The addition of physics makes the action feel better and overall the game is just great. I do think I prefer the third game since that felt like such a step up from the other two games and this game feels like a first tech demo on new hardware. After this another few games were released including a short pirate adventure and A Crack in Time which is considered by many as the best game in the series. I cannot wait to experience that game for the very first time.
