The other day I was in the mood for another Anomaly Game and the talented developer team of Chilla's Art have made one of those in the past. Shinkansen 0 is one of the few games of theirs that I still have to archive and today is finally that day.
We find ourselves on the bullet train and need to get to the conductor's cabin which is past car 0. Each time we move through a car we need to check if there are anomalies and adjust our route accordingly. Having played Exit 8 and Platform 8 I immediately felt familiar with the formula and some of the anomalies were pretty entertaining and scary.
I do think there is a difference in quality and you can tell that this it the developer's first try on this genre. There are two different endings and one ending is rather rushed, but the second ending was surprisingly heartfelt and made the experience all the better. In the end I think this game is alright, but probably will not be in my top 5 spot of best Anomaly Games.
