Today we archive the early access version of Fatekeeper. This is an ambitious project that presents a spiritual successor to Dark Messiah of Might & Magic. That game was famous for its physics based combat system where you could use the environment to your advantage. You could kick enemies off ledges or push them into spikes and more.
Fatekeeper presents a similar fighting system but now held in a gorgeous shell of Unreal Engine 5 technology. At times I was amazed with the beautiful vistas and the impressive lighting that was on my screen. This might be one of the prettiest games I have ver seen.
Since it is early access I hope that they will add a lot more story to the game as that felt a bit thin, but the fights were awesome with responsive controls and plenty of secrets and loot to find as well. It felt in a way quite nostalgic with its gameplay but the tempo was high and kept me going, so I cannot wait to see what the next chapters will hold.
