Today we archive a very special game that might go under the rader with some viewers. I mentioned before that I adore detective games and so I am always interested when a new one comes around. Detective Rainy Nights is a detective horror game that tells such a cool story.
We check into a motel and the next morning a terrible storm hits our place and prevents us from leaving. Then slowly one by one other guests from the hotel get taken out and it is up to us to find out what happened and who did it.
The game has you intereact with several guests and question them and you also get so solve different puzzles that make it feel like an adventure game. The area you get to explore is small, but very nice, cozy and detailed. The actual twists and ending also had me surprised and there were some really cool sequences in there where you had to think back on all the clues you received during your investigation.
Probably the weakest part is the beginning which can be really slow and maybe too slow for some people. I am afraid that the first 10 - 15 minutes might discourage people from continuing which is a shame since the game really picks up and becomes so tense afterward. It is one of those really awesome horror gems, so if you are a fan of horror or detective games, please support these talented developers.
