Peter Ward | Raising the Roof - Orleton Manor roof removal - Part 3 @WarmDryHome | Uploaded 2 years ago | Updated June 15 2023
In this video, Jake Oakley - Lead timber framer to the project - explains the mysterious Dragon Beam which has caused so many problems with structural stability. Work continues to make the frame ready for tomorrows 'big lift' when the crane arrives to take the massive 600 year old trusses off the roof. This will allow final repairs to the wallplates so the ancient frame can once again be made ready to carry the weight of the roof.
