Back in September, Penn Rail Videos visited the Pacific Northwest for a week. One of the places that we railfanned was in the Columbia River Gorge. While most of the time was spent on the Washington side, we did manage to catch a few trains on the Oregon side. The Oregon side of the Columbia River is home to the Union Pacific Portland Subdivision, and just as the sun is setting over the mountain, we catch an eastbound unit hopper train with Canadian Pacific power trailing the UP GEVO as it snakes its way through The Dalles, OR.
