For the first time in over two years, I headed over for a wild camp. I drove down to the Quantock Hills after work, having spent one hour(!) packing most of my kit the night before. I'd scouted a location out a couple of years ago. I could've attempted something a bit closer to home but I wanted to get this one done.


It didn't all go quite according to plan... But was a good exercise, with my walk along the Cleveland Way coming up soon.

I should also mention that I attempted this camp WITHOUT the landowner's permission. I arrived late and left early. But wild camping is NOT permitted on the Quantock Hills AONB.
