My most recent walk on the Quantock Hills. Days before "Lockdown 2" and the first film I've made down there for several years - despite the fact that I visit the area quite often.
This walk is based around the northern half of the hills and would've been a bit longer, if not for the weather. Around halfway, I encountered rows of parked 4x4 vehicles up on the common land and later realised that an organised stag hunt was taking place!
I'm still not entirely clear on what the law states but my personal view is that stag hunting is an awful sport that should be banned, except in the occasional instance of an organised cull - I can almost understand that. But this was of the bloodthirst variety. Thankfully, the stag of Shervage Wood (National Trust land) got away, despite these people's best efforts to surround the hills.
On another day, I'll return and make a video around the south of the Quantock Hills.
