I ended up walking 15 miles on this day and was shattered by the end of it. I don't often contemplate circular walks in this part of the world because it often means trekking along tarmac for great distances... But take nothing away from the coastline of West Somerset; it is special and largely undisturbed, with the South West Coast Path beginning/ending at Minehead, a few miles on.

I parked my car in Lilstock, at a free-to-use space beyond a challenging series of potholes. I walked west along the coast to St. Audrie's Bay, before doubling back on myself, heading inland through Kilve and then rejoining the coast beside Hinkley Point C.

Did I mention it was windy???
