In early June 2018, I'd booked a week off work with the intention of walking The Ridgeway National Trail in five days, carrying everything I would need in my 65lt rucksack.
From within the first couple of miles of day one, I was in pain, to the point where I wasn't enjoying the experience. I put this down to the 18kg+ in my rucksack and I left the trail to come home on the morning of day two.
This is video is showing absolutely everything I had packed for my first ever backpacking experience... I'm sure there are many areas in which I could save weight and all suggestions are welcome.
My pack is the Osprey Atmos AG 65, which alone weighs 2.4kg, according to my scales. I may look to replace this in the future.
I've since returned, with a lighter pack, to complete days two and three. Days four and five should soon be completed as well.
