With the Greatest gathering now finished, it's time for all the locos to head home. Tuesday the 5th August would see four of the West Coast Railways Steam fleet head from Derby to Carnforth. The four locos were 35018 'British India Line' which was the lead loco, the Merchant Navy was then followed by 46115 'Scots Guardsman' then behind the Scot class was 45627 Sierra Leone which is better known as 45699 'Galatea' Then finally tucked in behind the Jubilee was Black Five 44932 to complete the Quadruple/Convoy.
Not sure if we've had a quad mainline steam movement before but It's definitely a first for me and many others. I hope you enjoy the video.
